Ľubomír Andrassy and Ján Ferenčák spoke at ISSS 2023 in the framework of Visegrad cooperation with Slovakia
Ľubomír Andrassy, Chairman of the Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic and Ján Ferenčák, Mayor of Kežmarok and Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic spoke as traditional guests at the ISSS 2023 conference. Andrassy also gave a lecture entitled Digital Journey of the Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic.
“I have been going to the ISSS conference for many years and I think it is very important to go to look beyond the borders of Slovakia to see how things are going with digitalisation elsewhere. To gain inspiration and see how we are doing compared to our neighbours. For example, the Ukrainians were forced to digitise the state’s agenda quickly and by leaps and bounds due to Russian aggression, in Slovakia and in your Czech Republic covid accelerated the digitisation of education, and these difficult situations in general force us to leapfrog generationally and introduce services that citizens will be able to use,” says Ján Ferenčák.
“We need to start using data and information to a much greater extent within the state for strategic planning, for setting public budgets, in order to digitise better. It is necessary to have data that has a significant historical memory, that is valid and accurate, and that helps to work with alternatives so that politicians do not make decisions based on impressions alone,” says Ľubomír Andrassy.
